THE CIRCLE: CONVERSATIONS ABOUT ART.

WE’RE HAVING A SPECIAL SESSION TO TALK ABOUT THE ART WORLD TODAY.

The goal is to be beyond what has become so much in abundance and commercial. The goal is to talk about things that go deeper than just the issues of the day. It’s an attempt to tap into subjects that society has been driven away from for convenience over community; an intimate understanding of individual human identity, reality and dynamic to build upon community.

In the context of what we do and who we are, conversations about the Black and Brown African American experience will always prominent to and for us. The fact that in America—the home of African Americans—oppression, repressions and suppression still do very much exist. While immigrant cultures come here even in the modern day in the pursuit and attempt of a building a better life for themselves, it has been my experience that African Americans—who hold the concepts, intentions and ideas of immigrates that came before—inherently have an authority of what it is to be creative…here…in America. Whether paint and portraiture, architecture and design, style and fashion, engineering and technologies, African Americans do not fall behind the standard…especially if not disproportionately affected by social standards and conditions.

As a matter of what is being done by the current administration where the apparent clocks are being turned back, we’re engaged seeking out others within the African American communities that do not fit the molds that commercial and corporate entities have deemed the societal definition and identity. In this case and manner, we’re seeking those artists and visionaries that go beyond the perspective of accepting what is today…in order to build a different and new concept for tomorrow.

The drive to take advantage of what racists and other who remain in denial about pertaining the significant place, position and identity of Black and Brown African Americans within American and the larger international community is to build upon the strong platforms that have been given to us. To resist the urge of conformity or even the ongoing acceptance of behaviors and actives that truly serve at our detriment rather than our collective empowerment. Our goal is to get beyond the comfort zone of what has become the Black and Brown identity today in getting to a more profound and innovative place for tomorrow.

*Being pitched as means of building greater community, the concept still applies to that of The NūHUMAN Project and Foundation. Our effort—my effort—is to further use the Arts as a profound means community building and conversation. As I know none of us are perfect, I stand squarely in that position confidence within imperfection. That confidence—that confidence thru experience and exploration resulting in self-defined excellence—is what I want to encourage to others. Especially to those communities that need it as a form of recovery, we want to further invite, embrace and encourage others. —Liam Ian

THE CIRCLE MEMBERSHIP

While being an Artist and Entrepreneur I have—WE have—the responsibility to help and assist others to not only thrive but to also survive. As business (and capitalism) is the primary language and foundation of the modern world, it’s important that individuals—ALL individuals—are capable to take advantage of opportunities as well as create opportunities for others. In this time where inequality, fascism and racism are reaching newer kinds of levels clamoring to prevail within the world, as artists and entrepreneurs we believe in the capacity of all individuals to create better worlds.

MAKING MONEY

WHAT I DO TO MAKE MY MONEY.

This is not just about Art. It’s not just about Design. It ain’t just about Photography. It most certainly isn’t just about Entrepreneurship. This is about the ability to build, establish, cultivate and maintain wealth. The game I’m playing is most certainly about making money to make and achieve other things. Goals and milestones. The goal is to be an affective and impactful influencer within my communities and the larger societies.

If nothing else, I strive to stand on my Personal Truth and Agenda. I strive to stand firm on my spiritual core and beliefs incorporated with an informed outlook of this modern world to create.

ART, DESIGN & PHOTOGRAPHY ARE ONE THING…COACHING, CONSULTING AND INVESTING ARE ANOTHER.

As well as finding new streams of income based upon what assets we currently have, we also provide Private Coaching and Consulting. The point is to not only leverage your knowledge with what we have in hard assets but soft ones as well. One-on-one personal relationships are key. We’ve been in business for over 3 years now with over 10 years of entrepreneurial activity under our belts, we’re continuing to position in as many spheres as possible and that includes helping others to navigate the modern day and sidestep issues and obstacles we’ve already encountered.

A Strategic Mindset Shift

Being an Artist can sometimes be a daunting thing to be. Especially within this modern day where hyper-creativity is the demand, the transition from Artist to Entrepreneur can be overwhelming. In order to making that transition even possible there must be a shift in ones mindset—a dynamic paradigm shift. Here’s a sample of our 7 Tips we live by for Artists to Make Money as Entrepreneurs:

1. Think Like a Business, Not Just a Brand

Shift your mindset from *"how do I get noticed?"* to *"how do I create value?"*

Artists often get stuck in the loop of visibility over viability. Start treating your art like a business: identify your market, price your work sustainably, and understand that consistent revenue comes from structure—not just exposure.

2. Offer Services, Not Just Products

Don’t just sell art—solve problems.

Graphic design, portrait commissions, album covers, book illustrations, set design, event installations—there’s always a service that fits your skillset. Package your offerings and market them directly to communities and clients who *need* what you can do.

3. Build an Email or Text-Based Client List

Social media followers are flaky. A list is power.

Use workshops, exhibitions, vendor tables, or community events to collect emails and numbers. Then follow up with offers, availability, or exclusive opportunities. Keep your list warm with behind-the-scenes peeks, studio updates, or early access to new releases.
