THE CIRCLE MEMBERSHIP

While being an Artist and Entrepreneur I have—WE have—the responsibility to help and assist others to not only thrive but to also survive. As business (and capitalism) is the primary language and foundation of the modern world, it’s important that individuals—ALL individuals—are capable to take advantage of opportunities as well as create opportunities for others. In this time where inequality, fascism and racism are reaching newer kinds of levels clamoring to prevail within the world, as artists and entrepreneurs we believe in the capacity of all individuals to create better worlds.

YES! FINALLY CATCHING UP!

THE FOCUS IS THERE AND WE’RE EXCITED!

As we get back to to a place of creating to encourage and inspire, we’re motivated by matters of the day to ramp up our activities. As usual we’re creating to impact others and so what we’re creating is to help educate of and combat the advent and progress of systems that would diminish if not destroy the intellectual and artistic prominence of People of Color, Ethnicity and Culture as significant contributors to impacting the future and the world.

BLACK BRILLIANCE

While this project does take some time and effort to align the right ideas, concepts, principles, values, vision and intention, we cannot forget about the urgency to just create in and for it. The process of doing something with purpose and meaning can sometimes become a debilitating process. Sometimes in trying to research and define and apply deeper aspects to the work, sometimes you just must get to it and get it done.

Black Brilliance is not just a showcase of imagery to symbolize Black and Brown People, nor just their existence and progress throughout and beyond oppression and suppression, detriment, distraction, distortion and destruction, it is a project to remember, appreciate and celebrate while encouraging and inspiring within illustrating and narrating for the future.

USING ART TO RESTRUCTURE & RE-ORGANIZE!

THRU OUR PROJECTS, WE’RE CONNECTING TO HELP DEVELOP CONTENT THAT WILL EDUCATE AND INFORM.

We’re using Ai to help inform and imagine new physical art pieces. Based upon our slogan and mantra of “Intelligence. Ethnicity. Innovation.”, this year’s theme of “Change. Art. Social Justice.” and the primary TLP “BLACK BRILLIANCE”, we’re continuing to develop projects that are rooted in the ideas of Black and Brown Unity, Peace and Sovereignty.

Informed ideas thru realizing concepts with more than Pinterest and other social media platforms. With the inclusion and integration of Ai established imagery in project development there comes a greater level of consciousness and awareness in developing ideas with greater purpose and meaning.

MAKING MONEY

WHAT I DO TO MAKE MY MONEY.

This is not just about Art. It’s not just about Design. It ain’t just about Photography. It most certainly isn’t just about Entrepreneurship. This is about the ability to build, establish, cultivate and maintain wealth. The game I’m playing is most certainly about making money to make and achieve other things. Goals and milestones. The goal is to be an affective and impactful influencer within my communities and the larger societies.

If nothing else, I strive to stand on my Personal Truth and Agenda. I strive to stand firm on my spiritual core and beliefs incorporated with an informed outlook of this modern world to create.

ART, DESIGN & PHOTOGRAPHY ARE ONE THING…COACHING, CONSULTING AND INVESTING ARE ANOTHER.

As well as finding new streams of income based upon what assets we currently have, we also provide Private Coaching and Consulting. The point is to not only leverage your knowledge with what we have in hard assets but soft ones as well. One-on-one personal relationships are key. We’ve been in business for over 3 years now with over 10 years of entrepreneurial activity under our belts, we’re continuing to position in as many spheres as possible and that includes helping others to navigate the modern day and sidestep issues and obstacles we’ve already encountered.

A Strategic Mindset Shift

Being an Artist can sometimes be a daunting thing to be. Especially within this modern day where hyper-creativity is the demand, the transition from Artist to Entrepreneur can be overwhelming. In order to making that transition even possible there must be a shift in ones mindset—a dynamic paradigm shift. Here’s a sample of our 7 Tips we live by for Artists to Make Money as Entrepreneurs:

1. Think Like a Business, Not Just a Brand

Shift your mindset from *"how do I get noticed?"* to *"how do I create value?"*

Artists often get stuck in the loop of visibility over viability. Start treating your art like a business: identify your market, price your work sustainably, and understand that consistent revenue comes from structure—not just exposure.

2. Offer Services, Not Just Products

Don’t just sell art—solve problems.

Graphic design, portrait commissions, album covers, book illustrations, set design, event installations—there’s always a service that fits your skillset. Package your offerings and market them directly to communities and clients who *need* what you can do.

3. Build an Email or Text-Based Client List

Social media followers are flaky. A list is power.

Use workshops, exhibitions, vendor tables, or community events to collect emails and numbers. Then follow up with offers, availability, or exclusive opportunities. Keep your list warm with behind-the-scenes peeks, studio updates, or early access to new releases.

CONTINUING TO DEVELOP MY THEORIES & PHILOSOPHIES!

Directly from Liam Ian.

As I’ve taken time to ponder over the Artwork we’re striving to create, I’ve also had to mull over what its all supposed to mean in this modern world with all the current and modern issues of the day. Racism and an oppression of Brown people in America. The dismantling of democracy within a place that had its beginning in the enslavement and degradation of others. The rise of technologies running parallel with the apparent rise of fascism and authoritarianism. The reversion of African American progression within American society with an almost equal distortion of progressive principles and values. I’ve been pondering over these things.

Today I stand ready to continue the journey and endeavor of creating—creating with purpose and meaning. the mission isn’t just to create but to create with conscience and intention. A reflection of who we are as Black and Brown People and a blatant concern and interest for who should become into and for the future.

INTELLIGENCE. ETHNICITY. INNOVATION.

It’s all fundamental to who we are and what we should and must even become. It’s too not important and essential to acknowledge the past—that which has profoundly made us who we are—but the hope and potential of how we shall shape the future. While—as the primary Artist and Entrepreneur—it’s my job to set the tone, vision, mission and direction for the enterprise, I’m striving also to stay honest and true to who I am and those experiences that have made and shaped me with a pure intention for addressing the future.

As social media has become a cornerstone of identity and culture nowadays, I believe People of Color, Ethnicity and Culture must not sign our souls away for the hope of becoming more. We must move beyond the confines of the definitions and expectations of this world to get back to more natural paradigms and perspectives. We’ve lost our connections to spirituality and nature in favor of commercialization and capitalism. As I envision a world for People of Color that is stepped in spirituality and community, I also see the presence of nature and technology to compel us towards greater and greater goals and objectives.

In creating lately, here are the ideas, concepts, theories and philosophies I’ve been playing around with;

Something Like Afrofuturism

Reimagining the future through Black and Brown cultural lenses by blending ethnicity, science fiction, spirituality, history with African diasporic knowledge, wisdom, aesthetic, and empowerment. I believe that the facts of the designed and applied torment and struggle of the African American—including those within the them—help to illuminate and justify the speciality of who and what we are therefore to serve as the call to rise rather than submitting to an ever strategic diminishment and fall. - This includes and builds upon the use of symbolism, fashion-inspired, and tech-infused imagery that highlights African American (Black and Brown) identity and resilience with an intention for what was the past to inform the future. Stylized portraits and speculative design that projects the power, possibility and potential promise of impactful Black and Brown Futures.

Sankofa Principle (from Akan Philosophy)

“Go back and get it” — Looking to the past to inform the future (*…while using the ideas of the future to appreciate and celebrate the past). We must encourage retrieving the forgotten or suppressed while embarking on the journey into the undiscovered country that is the future. African, Latino and even Asian motifs, patterns and historical references in modern urban art and design. The use of photography to draw parallels or illuminate contrasts between past struggles and current realities. - Ancestral memory, cyclical time, cultural continuity and historical wisdom.

Music & Hip-Hop Aesthetic

Anchored in urban expression, the hip-hop aesthetic is rebellious, rhythmic, and raw often shaped by struggle, resistance and community storytelling. - The incorporation of graffiti styles, remix culture, streetwear, dance and lyrical themes mixed with an anticipation of what’s to come in the future. Visual sampling—like layering photos or design elements—as metaphor and message.

Critical Race Theory in Visual Culture

Race and systemic power influence representation. Identity and access or the lack thereof to the resources and means to resisting stereotypes and the offering or presentation of new narratives. - The effort is to create work that continues to challenge racial tropes and stereotypes while centering on Black and Brown humanity, nuance and complexity. To highlight systems of inequality and associated traumas without reducing subjects to trauma by being culturally to universally encouraging and empowering. - Representation, resistance, systematic critique, truth-telling, and expansive dialogue on the potential to affect the future.

Continuing With An Abstract Application

At a foundational level, I’m continuing to work with an abstract mindset therefore creative direction. What I’ve observed about this modern day is an over-indulgence on the physical form for and of People of Color in artwork and media. Because I believe there’s something substantial about “the abstract”—relying on the viewer to establish, create and extract their own ideas and concepts—there’s more room to encourage, inform and inspire deeper levels of thought and critical analysis. The incorporation of ideas and themes within creating abstract art compels me and any artist to think more creatively and intellectually with greater meaning and appreciation for the viewer to be their own potential creator.

CONTINUING WITH OUR PROJECTS!

We won’t be hinder by these matters of the day—we will continue on with the projects we’ve laid out . . . and more if needed and the opportunities suggest. As we further develop, we will push forward in developing works, products and services to encourage, inspire and empower. We’re not done because we’ve just begun! I am and we are LIAM IAN™.

RESTART!

Life happens. Life happens…but you don’t give up. You don’t stop. You don’t quit!

After a certain hiatus, we’re striving to make a strong come back.

Having already moved out of the Design Quarter into the Photography, we’re making efforts to make up for lost time. The crunch isn’t to gain work but the stay active in creating. As our custom products and IP are dependent on staying creative, we don’t want to skip over things within our plans. We just want to make up for what was missed.

As usual, our focus is on developing product and services that cater to our communities—those of People of Color, Ethnicity and Culture.

Since we now have the time to focus our efforts again, we’re getting on it! Back to . . . BLACK BRILLIANCE!

Not only are we striving to bring and offer the BEST of who we are within Black and Brown Culture, we’re looking to share those that embody the same. Intelligence, Ethnicity and Innovation, we believe in encouraging the best and most positive of what it is to be modern, urban, African American, Hispanic American and everything else that shaped promise and progressiveness within the world.

IN BUSINESS AND EVEN ART...

SOMETIMES REVISION AND REPOSITIONING ARE NECESSARY!

There come profound times and moments where you must stop, review, revise and reposition. The landscape of business and the markets are forever changing especially as there is ongoing societal and economic change. The point is not always for profound revenues and profits—sometimes it’s in being active within the communities to be influential and impactful. Where audiences and communities go, that’s where a business must take time to pause observe and learn.

In this time of upheaval and change for America and the American Black and Brown Communities—not excluding the Caucasian, we’re taking time to review our activities to ensure our activities are in alignment with our short to long term goals, principles and values. As this is surely a time review and reflect, the capacity and composition of our works must remain high in integrity and fidelity to the communities we aim to represent, support and serve.

We’re looking to engage more Visual Artists and Creatives representing more communities and cultures that have and/or are helping to move the world forward. If you are a Visual Artist local to North Bethesda (Montgomery County), Maryland and the surrounding Washington, DC areas, we’d like to build and connect with you.

CONTINUING ON WITH "BLACK BRILLIANCE"!

EXPANDING UPON THE IDEA TO DO AND PRODUCE MORE.

Answering the call to develop more catering the the appreciation, celebration and inspiration of Black and Brown People and Communities, we’re continuing with this Through-Line Project (TLP). As our interests have grown within this subject matter of Black and Brown Success, Progress and Aptitude, we’re continuing also with producing Paint & Canvas pieces. These pieces will help to influence and impact other works and activities within the Design and Photography (including Videography) categories.

Consistent with our 2025 Theme of “Change. Art. Social Justice.”, “Black Brilliance” exists intended to be an Abstract Art series used in assisting in other product development activities. The goal is to feature positive imagery of Black and Brown Individuals, Communities, Cultures and peripheral aspects and images as positive messaging and reinforcement in contrast to the very present and relevant issues standing upon those communities today.

Adhering to our custom concepts of deep, rich and dark colors that tap into the spirit of Black and Brown People, we’re striving to use them as base elements to be reinforced and accented by bright metallic visual elements used to inform. Incorporating earth-tones, plant and flora elements and blues that inform the oceans and skies, we’re emphasizing Nature as a key component to culture, ethnicity and even progress. From an image of a Flat Black Human Silhouette on a Copper Background, we’re developing images that actively embody the modern aesthetics of Black and Brown People with a classic intentions.

Additional to our efforts, we’re aligning our private membership platform THE CIRCLE to further expand upon our private project, THE NūHUMAN FOUNDATION. We’re looking to connect and build with Visual Artists, Designers, Photographers, Videographers and Storytellers to create a new community to help take things above and beyond. Our goal is find, support, showcase and elevate artistic works that refine and redefine the African American, Black and Brown, and Ethnic identities and spirit into and for the future.

CHANGE. ART. SOCIAL JUSTICE.

ART & SOCIAL JUSTICE

In planning new projects for 2025, we’re anticipating the many opportunities that will exists. We want to showcase the complexity of issues that continue to plague the Black and Brown communities as a way to further highlight the strengths and pros. Within Art—with the Arts Quarter done—we wanted in general to have developed and featured works and individuals that truly push the envelope to redefining People of Color in profound and positive ways. As we are now into our Design Quarter, we want to do the same with a focus on how cultural identity plays a part in things from commercial communication to environmental aesthetic language. With Photography and Videography well on their way we aim to capture these moments, we’ll also be using those forms to help reinforce the journey.

As we march on, this year continues to remain anchored and dedicated to revealing and representing People of Color, Ethnicity and Culture in as many positive, supportive and reinforcing ways as possible. With use of Chat GPT and Ai Art Generators such as Midjourney and Leonardo Ai within our Red Book Drafting and Planning Processes to visualize and manifest our various ideas and concepts, we’re striving to push against the limitations and barriers of Art, Entrepreneurship and everyday life to create. This is the goal. This is what we aspire to do. Integration of technology to help us perform and produce is a part of the “Change” we’re talking about.

📕 RED BOOK FILES

We will be continuing to develop projects thru the Red Book Drafting and Development process. Where Ideas and concepts are drafted for later review for development, the Red Book process helps us to discuss and visualize opportunities for IP production and even service implementation. These files are of course proprietary and so project development then remains the specific authority and responsibility of LIAM IAN™.

ART, DESIGN, PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEOGRAPHY, IP & PRODUCT

The goal is secure and enact as many projects as possible that are meaningful and consistent. Establishing a through line, we want to make sure all our projects have and communicate a consistent and coherent message. As we draft, discuss and develop these projects, we’re staying conscious and aware of the associated artistic impact to and within our local communities. As the theme for 2025 is “Change. Art. Social Justice.” all that we aim to develop and produce remain anchored within the same waters.

LIAM IAN™ COLOR CODES

FROM ART TO DESIGN TO PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY.

Operating within THE ARTS QUARTER we’re developing Artistic projects that allow us to continue our exploration for not only Art and our capacity for it but also the depths of what makes us Artists within our own rights. Unique to our brand identity, we’re sharing the color palettes and schemes that further define who we are and what we use to communicate what we’re all about. Our messages are steeped in bold rich colors in conjunction with those that imply wealth, worth, principle and value for all that we strive to operate with. Colors that signify the place and importance of People of Color resonating with those Black and Brown Communities that share collectively shared experiences.

Thru the works we create we want to ensure the potency and truth of our artistry and creative communication. Whether internal propriety works or those commissioned, at the end of the day we’re committed to staying true.

A DISCUSSION OF ART.

WHERE WE ARE. WHAT WE ARE.

In thinking on a passion for Art, I’m thinking on a passion—the passion—for expression. Expression is heavily dependent on identity just as much as creativity. What we identify ourselves as is just as important as what we identify ourselves with. There is not and cannot be any other distinction.

In this moment where things have winded down a bit, I’ve come to understand that identity is just as fluid as time itself. It can change with the wind where one moment is not and will never be like the ones before. With this knowledge—this very quiet knowledge—is then the wisdom to adapt and change ourselves. This is the true capacity of our power; to remove ourselves from our relative situations as to not become a product of them but to master them by mastering ourselves. Discipline and patience and temperance are akin to the kind of Fortitude one must need…but that fortitude is not standing as a rock or a pillar against the wind, it is to become unburdened and as light as a feather to move with the wind.

Water stays water whether its Frozen, liquid, or even hot up to the point where it might evaporate into the air only to become a part of everything else or condense enough to reappear as water again.

We stay motivated to created because of that surrounds us. We are products of the past leading up to the present full of hopes and dreams of what should come tomorrow. Coming out of and a lasting aspect of the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s, we’re forever appreciative and acknowledge the importance of what informed and influenced us. Civil Rights, Hip Hop, Neo-Soul and R&B, Positive Black and Brown Images within media that reinforced principles and values to making things better for us all, we believe we got the best out of humanity. Because of that, we have the potential to being the best of humanity.

It’s not just about positive media of and about Black and Brown people, it also includes those of many races and classes and cultures around the world that stood to fight for Equality and Equity—Justice and Fairness. The Art that would inform the potential for a greater and innovative future came from many directions. Artists like Jean-Michael Basquiat, Nikki Giovanni, Cornel West, Erykah Badu, Dave Chappelle and James Baldwin have helped to shape a view and paradigm of the world encouraging all people to find purpose and meaning within their humanities. Families and friends. Inclusive work environments and those social scenes that welcomed and valued different perspectives on style, music, history and life. We live our lives within a richness that could never be denied. Diminished and distorted perhaps but never denied.

While commercialization has leveraged the use of ideas and concepts that do not always add to the progressive and innovative development of communities, we understand the importance of a place and space for people to grow and excel freely. We want to be or at least encourage places and spaces like that.

*I personally experienced the hood. I was, am still and will forever be a product of the dysfunction. I was born within the hood; the urban or urban-suburban economically and socially disadvantaged and challenged areas of Washington, DC. Southeast DC. I grew up programmed with thoughts of misogyny and a perverse priority on materials justifying my worth and therefore identity. I grew up with anger and sadness often left under appreciated and valued. I grew up abandoned and abused and left to fend for myself after being dismissed as just another Black Man—Black Boy—that would never matter or develop into anything or anyone of true significance or value. Fatherless, having moved around almost twelve times before turning 21. I gained the perspective that I didn’t matter. My ideas didn’t matter. The Blessing is that I eventually learned and experienced different. My life matters. My ideas matter. My efforts and intentions. I matter. I matter therefore others matter. You matter.

While never attending such high-end institutions such as Duke Ellington School of the Arts, I managed to attend The Art Institute of Washington. I made efforts to do something with the talent of art and design while working and even hustling my own side “business”. Cultivating the skill and craft for drawing, painting and graphic design resulted in experiencing Photography. Mixed with modest entrepreneurship, I gained a respect for all that I had been afforded even those difficulties and obstacles experienced within my childhood. Drawing my focus on Art and its impact upon my life and development, I came to prioritize the perspective of purpose and meaning within our actions and how what we do and create within this world adds to the potential and possibilities for tomorrow.

As my Spirituality is and has been a core of all that I strive do and accomplish, I strive to maintain a spiritual significance to all that’s created personally and professionally. Whether alone or in conjunction and collaboration with others, the significance of the Black, African and African American Spirit, Identity and Experience remains the strongest foundation of my creative ambitions and intentions. Bold and rich yet subtle and sophisticated, all that I and we create within Art, Design, Photography, Videography and Business must resonate with the mantra that has been defined and refined by my ongoing spiritual significance; “Intelligence. Ethnicity. Innovation.

I am and strive to always be encouraged by my flaws, failures, errors and mistakes, dysfunctions and disadvantages as much and as well as my talents, gifts, skills, opportunities, successes, and advantages. Thru everything we operate within, we aspire, encourage and inspire for positive Change.

REVISITING IDEAS: DXPESHYT!

THERE’S A LOT THAT HAS AND CONTINUES TO INFORM AND INSPIRE WHO AND WHAT WE ARE.

WHERE JUST BEING REAL.

As a business operation, we’re striving to streamline and adhere to the ethics and ideas of doing good business. As a business based within the arts, we want greater to adhere to the TRUTH of who we are. For the Black and Brown—African American and Latino Communities, we want to stay true and be our authentic selves because this is the communities we truly want to serve and represent.

As we propose, develop and explore ideas and concepts for Art, Design and Photography projects, this is what influences if not inspire those ideas.

*We do not own the above imagery. WE support and post them for educational purposed to inform. We are encouraged, informed and inspired by them for the communities and cultures we serve. Please contact us for Source and Ownership information and for removal requests where applicable.

**As an Artist and Creative born of this modern world, my vision, mission and intentions are continuously informed by those things that have made me. Let’s face it, not all of those things are necessarily for the kids. I grew up raw. I grew up disadvantaged. I grew up and out of the hood. A love for Jazz, Hip-Hop, Rap. A love for the functional dysfunctional. Black Women. Fast Cars. Nice Clothes. As I’ve always aspired to do and become better and better…I’ve never forgotten where I’m from. I’ve never forgotten who I am and what I’m all about. While I’ve grown to have become a person and version of me, I’m still me at the core. —Liam Ian

"BLACK BRILLIANCE"

A Through-Line Project (TLP). This is a long-term project developed to be enacted in all creative and operational categories.

We use Ai Art Generators to help us fully understand and flesh-out our ideas, concepts and visions. While those ideas and concepts can be easily brought into fruition, we feel there’s greater depth, purpose and meaning within creative projects that span more than one category…especially when Ai inclusion is avoided and omitted. Our Through-Line Projects (TLP) assist in developing further custom IP and associated projects throughout the year.

For this project as a TLP, we’ll be featuring the different creative processes and phases as this project moves throughout our creative quarters and categories.

LIAM IAN-Ai™

WHAT’S BEST IN USING Ai IN YOUR ARTISTIC PROJECTS? FOR US IT’S ABOUT MORE THAN AN END RESULT.

As we move forward in providing select creative services to our clients and audiences, we’re active in engaging and incorporating Ai into our operations. Everything from the cultivation and review of ideas to the assistance of end-result possibilities and byproduct opportunities, we’re engaging it all.

While we continue to strive for a unique and individual brand identity, we’re furthering our focus on our local communities and those dedicated or legacy customers and clients that have enjoyed the services and products we provide.

As we create, we’ve come to a determination about Ai that helps to streamline operations while also adding to the creative process. Operating within four different *Quarters, we must be able to keep focus while transitioning into various creative mindsets to further cultivate projects, services, products and other associated opportunities. We believe the following about how, where and when to use Ai:

  1. Idea & Concept Development: Many ideas come to us. We go thru a process of pitching and discussing new ideas and concepts that fall into either Art, Design or Photography but there are moments where none of us can fully articulate or gain the scope of a project. The financial and resource cost including the overall societal demand and general impact of such projects. Ai has been used to develop conversations to flesh out the details of an idea and how to get to the desired goal with reduced cost or stress.

  2. Idea & Concept Visualization: Again—within a crucial part of the creative process—rather than using Ai and Ai Art as an end-result or product, we’re striving to allow what can be produced by Ai to inform and influence the artistic direction. We want to keep up with where this technology excels and what this technology can do but we strive to retain our creative prowess and skill in order to perform and perform to and beyond expectation. This truly is where Ai is most effective to us.

  3. Generation of Assets: Especially in the realm of Design, we’re fully engaged in using different ingredients and elements to develop works effectively and communicate messages as efficiently as possible. In doing large client projects that require more than one product or type of work, we use Ai to further align the creative vision across elements and assets and even mediums.

  4. Industry Research and Market Analysis: While this is not that much of a daunting task for us, it can become a timely one in order to plan, align and re-align a project or even the business appropriately and accordingly. Ai has proven its worth in further understanding paradigms and trends of various audiences, communities, markets and potential clients.

All in all, we’re a small business looking for every reasonable advantage to progress and excel. Operating in different creative and operational categories requires much of us to not only enact services, act within our communities and develop products but to also ease the pressure to operate effectively. With data needing to reviewed, ideas needing to be researched and vetted, and client/customer relationships requiring effective management protocols, Ai has become quite an exceptional tool and aspect of everyday life.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Ai Art Generators are in use for some projects with archiving of prompts and settings to achieve desired results. In serving clients thru Ai Art Generators, we ensure our clients understand the origin of prompts and those platforms or engines used. With several out there, we have a preference for Midjourney and Leonardo.Ai. We go thru a process of compare and contrast to review not only quality of imagery but an adherence to the general vision and scope of the project at hand.
