“BLACK BRILLIANCE” - The initial artistic work to initiate the overall Black Brilliance Project. Multilayered with hidden messaging and elements, this piece symbolizes the blood and spirit of Black and Brown People. Existing within a dimension that serves as a foundation for wealth, culture, art, language, civilization, the blood of Black and Brown people have been spilled enough to have become the clay of the world. Having returned to the earth, enough blood of People of Color have become the dominant obsession of many. As the clay—the foundation—of the existing world, nothing exists without it.
Being of substantial worth and worthiness of some of the most precious natural aspects and resources of the world, Black and Brown People have become the most important aspects of course. As societies and entities and individuals exhaust time, effort and energy to manipulate and create conditions of control for them, this proves more and more that the existence and presence of Black and Brown People has a substantial if not powerful impact.
Developed and thoughtfully designed to incorporate and represent visual aesthetics of Ethnic Peoples, Black and Brown and African Americans, this piece thru abstraction works to imply the full taste of the air, the unconscious color of reality—dangerous and illuminating, thick and heavy and saturating—for the Urban Person of Color. With the textured brown block representing the delicate yet nuance presence of Black (and Brown) individuals, identities, cultures, civilizations, and societies, the heavy gold stroke off to the side represents the true wealth manifested and running parallel yet as byproduct to their existence. Something like exhaust, the collective structure of Black and Brown People emits value, worth and wealth.
Post-review and assessment statement:
Our effort is to appreciate, encourage and inspire Black and Brown People. Our intention and hope are that this piece will encourage People of Color to remember all the blood spilled and lives lost for this world as it is today. Thru that remembrance and acknowledgement with detail or not, they might reshape their paradigms of the world built and existing around them. Let them be forever fueled by a subtle rage-like intent to act with authority, confidence and patient long-lasting power each and every day forever to progress and do greater and greater things.
As an element of the overall “BLACK BRILLIANCE” project, this piece also helps to symbolize and establish values and principles of The NūHUMAN Project. Appreciation, Celebration and Inspiration of those People of Color that came before helping to shape and instill strong qualities of Intellectual confidence, Ethnic pride and acts of Innovation to survive, endure and progress within extremely hard and complicated times are the primary agendas, visions and missions.
As our Art, Design and Photography Products are to represent, encourage and inspire Black and Brown and African American communities, individuals and identities, we’re staying active in trying to align and connect our different projects together.
