THE WORLD HAS CHANGED...

…AND SO SHOULD WE.

Fact of the matter is that things have changed. Dangerously so but yes, the world has changed and yet it still intends and continues to spin on.

We’ve fought a lot about alignment and cohesion. We’ve fought over doing things in ways that “make sense” as to gain some degree of community visibility and identity reinforcing a sense of public trust…but that has not happened. Even as being within the North Bethesda Community, we haven’t seen too much progress in community building or even visibility…but it is what it is.

As it comes down to Art, Design and Photography, there’s so much that we still have yet to discuss and consider. As an operation, we have the same goals which are to contribute to the world but with much change having happened, we’re looking to shift our paradigms. Especially because who we are and what we are matters within the realm of Art and Artistic Expression as it affects the rest of the worlds around us, a further catering to the Black and Brown African American communities stands firm.

THE ART SHOULD REFLECT THE TIMES.

As creatives, it’s really important to be tune with what informs you—the world around you. It’s important to take notice to the things going on because art captures the mind’s creative vision in the midst of thought, time, influence and circumstance. Where our minds are matters when we create which is why the process of creation should not be limiting or limited but expanded upon. The order of chaos and the chaos of order if nothing else should be entertained as an artist where what makes sense can almost—if not more—be equal to that of those things that do not. We are truly residing in a time where things most certainly do not make sense…but then again…

BEING THE AFRICAN AMERICAN MALE ARTIST

Most of what I strive to do has everything to do with being an African American Male Artist. Sexist and opinionated and confident only as a means of hiding hurt, pain and trauma. Again, having grown up in the 80’s 90’s and early 2000’s my goals are set in being real and authentic no matter who that bothers or offends. I only want to be that which I’ve been at conflict for so long—that which is truly…me. The good and the bad. The chaos and the order. I am all things that this life has been and has made me as today.

IT TRULY IS TIME TO TRY SOMETHING NūH™.

Yes, it is about the Art. Yes, it is about Design. Yes, it is about Photography.

It is also about a new sense of spirituality and identity as a result.

It is the spirit of being human. It is the POWER of being human. It is that all human beings are descendants of those Melanated Peoples from thousands of years ago.

A Message:

*As an business representing an African American Artist and Artistry, we’re dedicated to using our resources of creation to create for the further appreciation, encouragement and inspiration of Black and Brown People, Identities, Communities and Cultures.

What it means to be a NūHUMAN is to move beyond the confines of what was to develop what can be. It is about the next stage of being human. Shedding the skin of the old and burdensome in favor of concepts, ideas and philosophies to catapult us into the future, it is truly about unity—unity for being Human.

The Statement:

We are now beyond the definitions, measurements and descriptions mandated from others to define our identities, our activities, and the construction of our worlds, realities and lives. We are NūHUMANS!

2026 AND NEW THOUGHTS!

NOT #JusTHOUGHTS…but then again.

Of some of the greatest differences between animals and humans is the ability—our ability—to create worlds. Humans are capable of perceiving the world to imagine and reimagine then to work towards creating and manifesting those thoughts—those…ideas and concepts. We can perceive and critically think about those things around us—physical and non-physical. We can create our worlds where we’re truly free to do so. Without manipulation and influence, we have the power to create our own spaces and places that not resemble and represent who we are but also influence us for the future.

In light of all that has occurred in 2025 and even currently, we as a business are engaged in developing products and activities to further appreciate, encourage and inspire Black and Brown individuals, entities and communities for the future. We believe in conscious work. We believe in conscious and intentional work to create the worlds we need and deserve. It may not seem like what might be needed but it’s what we’re providing based on what we believe and are coming from…and that’s that the Melanated deserve more than what’s ever been given!

INTELLIGENCE. ETHNICITY. INNOVATION.

*While there are many things going on, we must not forget to take time to look within to see where we are as a people in order to move forward. Keep in mind that all that’s being done is because of fear—their fear. This was an important time for them to gain power because the landscape has been changing and changing quite quickly. Black and Brown and other People have been able to see progress and success via technologies, knowledge, information and access to new kinds of markets. With all this chaos, we become entrenched and encompassed in thoughts and ideas about self-pride and identity in the form of freedom and rights. We must not forget to look beyond the today and the ideas of today about the future. They’re already looking towards the future where they are supreme. They feel unburdened by issues and obstacles and oppression. They and theirs will feel empowered and free and that “empowerment” and “freedom” allows for room and space for thought.

We must continue to think of ourselves beyond the confines they’re continuing to try to burden us by. Some of us must think further and further into the future because the future deserves for us to. Let us be further encouraged, inspired and empowered by our adversities to build and build better upon what was before. While we continue the fight for today, let us give a way for the next to fight for tomorrow…today and always into their tomorrows.
