LESSONS

Never underestimate the need to be heard and the feeling of connection.

Two consultations this past week and upon review and assessment, l've come to the conclusion that I limit my own self sometimes. I limit myself by thinking I need to be seen or heard. Sometimes we get in our own way of creating when trying to create to appeal...when what we really need to do is to create for ourselves.

Learn to create for yourself. Take yourself out of the commercial, corporate and capitalist mindset of doing for money and do your thing by creating to express yourself. Create to manifest the version of yourself you want to become. Create to not only communicate but to also grow.

We lack adequate development sometimes because we're only facilitating growth as defined and directed by our environments. True growth-the catalyst to true powerful impactful growth-comes from making the decision to change and change in the way of refusing all that is and has become normalized within our families, friendships and communities. Question who you are and what you have done and test the waters in doing things different than the regular scheduled programs.

When you "do"—when you act for change--act for yourself and NOT for others. Truly, it will always be others that after yourself will serve as your most difficult obstacles yet powerful lessons.

*Fact is that some can actually produce with an intent and pursuit for some financial gain taking on the agendas or commissions of others but then there those who rely on pure mental and emotional inspiration. It’s not my advice to not create or produce for profit but there’s much ore value in those works that represent a moment, perspective, or experience that fuel the creative process.

MINDFUL GOAL-SETTING

Plain and simple, as a supplemental product to “THE MOTIVATION BOOK”, we’ve developed our own proprietary system that Encourages and Inspires Artists to Entrepreneurs to even Family Leaders to hold fast to their lives by planning and gaining Vision enough to create their Mission.

Out of our practice within Coaching and Consulting, we’ve developed this system inspired by others that have been long-time leading names within Self-Help, Encouragement and Productivity. Our system is common-sense and so we believe it has the potential to become common-place. It is our hope and drive for this system to become common-place for Creatives of Color, Ethnicity and Culture further acknowledging our commitment to “Intelligence, Ethnicity and Innovation.”

*As a byproduct of my passion of creative writing; poetry and fiction, I’ve also come to understand the place of journaling, assessing and planning. The process of writing often gives clarity thru slowing things down to review and gain an understanding in order to articulate thoughts effectively. Yes, it’s dependent on many factors of the individual but for me, to write does a lot of good for me. A crucial part of the RED BOOK process of developing creative ideas, writing is a fundamental part of investigating and cultivating potential ideas.

I encourage—therefore we encourage—the process of writing. We encourage it not only for critical thinking but to cultivate better and better ideas. We encourage our clients and customers and partners and audiences to engage the process of writing. Write whether on paper or on your mobile device. Gather your thoughts and go thru the process of organizing them into articulation. Do this to go back to them later. Do this to expand upon them. Do this—do it—just because it’s a healthy thing to do. Write…to Create!
